BIOGRAPHY
visual artist from Sweden, b. 1956 in Östersund, lives and works
in Malmö, where she also was educated at the Forum School of Graphics
1982-1987. She works in different techniques; video/film, sculpture, photography,
drawing, video installations and public works. Her interest lies in nature,
the environment and human identity. She has produced a large number of
shortfilms and video installations during her years as an artist / filmmaker.
She has received several grants and awards over the years. 1996 she received
a ten-year long working grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
She has had several exhibitions in Sweden and abroad; South Corea, China,
Turkey, Russia, Chile, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Great Britain...
In 2006 she made the 35 mm short film FLOW along with the filmmaker Ewa
Cederstam. The film has been shown on Swedish National Television and
at several filmfestivals in Sweden and abroad, selection: Alcine Filmfestival,
Madrid, Spain, Birds-eye Film Festival, ICA London UK, the World Underwater
Film Festival, Antibes, France, The Filmfestival in Gothenburg, SE, the
International Filmfestival in Umeå, SE, Uppsala Filmfestival, SE,
TEMPO filmfestival, Stockholm, SE. It received an honorable mention as
the best documentary at UmeŒ International Film Festival 2006 and
the same year it was nominated for the STHLM.DOC price. In 2006 she also
recieved the assignment to make
the trailerfilm for BUFF, a filmfestival in Malmö, SE.
